As we approach the launch of a new season this week. I thought I would share with you the colour trend for 2017. As we approach the cooler months I find people start paying particular attention to their home decor. So here is a little insight to get you thinking about your space and what colours you would like to introduce to your home this season..
Pantone’s colour of the year is ‘Greenery’. Greenery symbolises the re-connection of nature- a revitalising shade to represent new beginnings. Pantone’s Greenery is a versatile trans-seasonal shade that just works perfectly with so many colour combinations. Here are some colour palettes you might like to try with ‘greenery’ to incorporate in your home. You will see it has been used with neautrals, brights, deeper shades, pastels and metallics. These colour palettes you will find in your home decor, fashion, beauty and graphic design industry.
Ways of incorporating ‘Greenery’ in your home could be with-
Indoor plants- Whether they be real or artificial. Indoor plants are still very on trend this season and I particularly like using them when styling people’s homes because they just bring your room alive.
Cushions- Printed patterns of ferns and foliage look great, nice and fresh. Plain linens and velvets are my favourite.
Feature Wall- Painted, Wall paper or a Vertical Garden.
Furniture- Image a gorgeous green velvet sofa or occasional chair…how luxe?
